What it actually is
A proper dive, and it does not pretend otherwise. The bar top is plywood, there are dollar bills and writing over most surfaces, and the appeal is the crowd and the bartenders rather than the fittings. Reviewers use words like "no frills" and "rustic charm" and mean them as compliments — one describes it as "one of the divest dive bars I have ever been to," which is roughly the point.
It is a seasonal spot, busiest in summer when the traffic to Castle Rock and Petenwell is running. That is worth knowing before you drive out in February.

Getting there
From the village, head north on County Road HH for about four and a half miles. It is on the route between Lyndon Station and the Castle Rock and Petenwell Lakes, which is why so much of its trade is people breaking a journey rather than locals.
Food
Historically this has been a drinks bar — more than one reviewer notes "no food." The venue has more recently advertised a menu, so the honest answer is that it varies. If eating matters to your plan, ring first, or eat at Norm's in the village instead.
Nearby
Heading north for the lakes, this is the last easy stop. Heading south, you are ten minutes from the village bars and about twenty from Wisconsin Dells. Campers will find the campgrounds and RV resorts clustered on the same route.
